Higher Ground Leadership/Pastor Mark McCord/Element Building
(The class will begin on January 16, 2018, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
Join Westmore’s Executive Pastor and international leadership expert, Mark McCord, for Biblically-based journey into the heart of leadership. This course is designed for people who are ready to stand up and be counted, step up and be involved, reach up to achieve their full potential, and power up to transform their communities. Leadership theory won’t do it. Best intentions will fall short. Transformational leadership requires skilled, empowered, energetic, and values-based leaders who aren’t afraid to take on the tough challenges. In short, it will take people who are ready to find the higher ground.  People who refuse to be invisible, who are not content with looking the other way, and who demand solutions. The course is designed for leaders from 18 to 65 years of age who are not satisfied with sitting on the sidelines…
who want to change their community and their world.

Women’s Bible Study: A Woman Who Doesn’t Quit/Sarai Burgos/Room 005
Every woman will eventually face it: the temptation to give in and give up. But something transformative happens when a woman decides to persevere in the face of difficulty and pain. A woman who refuses to quit influences her world in ways she could never have imagined. Join this new study, a journey through the Book of Ruth, focusing on the Moabite woman’s 5 practical habits that kept her eyes on God: Ruth accepted the assignment of refinement, followed through on her commitments despite her feelings, remained open to the movement of God, gave others what she needed, and moved forward in faith.

Men’s Ministries: Caveman’s Club/Legacy Commons (2235 Candies Lane)/Robert Green
Join Robert Green and Westmore men for a book study on Ephesians, called “Who Do You Think You Are?” (Part 2). Men will discover where there victory comes from. Each participant will gain a deeper understanding of God’s goodness. He is a Good Father who wants men to learn from Him how to be good fathers to their children. Other topics in this series addresses new creation, spiritual gifts, prayer, and identity.

Introduction to the Book of Revelation/Fred Watson/Room 006
Many Christians avoid reading this great book thinking that it is too difficult to understand, yet the purpose of the book of Revelation is to “reveal” Christ in His glory as well as to “reveal” the mysteries of the end times.  The purpose of this eight weeks study is to simply introduce this book by looking at the first four chapters of Revelation focusing on the revealed Christ, the message of Christ to the churches, and John’s first glimpse of heaven.  Come and join us as Bishop Fred Watson shines the Revelation spotlight on Jesus Christ and His glory.

Missions Prayer Movement/Room 110 (Office Wing)/Grant & Janice McClung
Join us for a time of prayer for the nations and for the Gospel to reach the people even to the ends of the earth. This group often has a variety of speakers and missionaries from around the world who share about the work of the Lord in America and overseas, accompanied with a genuine time of prayer. Sometimes the group views the newest missionary reports via the video resources provided by the Church of God World Missions.

Growing in Grace/Lee University Education Building/Room 124/Dr. Dewayne Thompson
This group is a non-age specific group focused on searching the Scriptures and honestly looking at its implication in our daily lives.
